Warm it up with Hip-hop Yoga!

One of the most important things that you can do when learning how to dance is stretch those muscles!  A great way to incorporate traditional yoga moves for kids is to keep it light and fresh.  You don’t need to have ambient music playing in the background. You don’t have to have special mats, just get the kids moving.

Ms. Dre gets the kids up and ready to go! Try some of these moves at home!

Michaela Chatman is the founder of Camp Roadless Summer Visual and Performing Arts Summer Camp based in the Tokyo area. She has taught in Chicago, New York City, Hiroshima, and Tokyo.
